Jesse Lonis continues to make his mark in the poker world, adding another WSOP gold ring to his growing list of achievements. With an already impressive career that includes multiple high-profile wins and over $14 million in live tournament earnings, he recently secured his third gold ring by winning the WSOP Online Circuit Series Event #17: $125,000 No-Limit Hold’em. What made this victory unique was that he won the tournament while attending a rap battle in North Las Vegas.

Lonis was in town with fellow poker players, including Chris Hunichen, to watch a battle featuring The Saurus. The event, called “Turbulence,” took place at a production studio, and Lonis managed to balance entertainment with competition by playing and winning the online event. This latest gold ring adds to his previous WSOP Circuit victories, which include a win at Thunder Valley in 2020 and another online triumph in 2023.
Despite his success in the online realm, Lonis is primarily known for his achievements in live poker, where he consistently delivers top-tier performances. His 2024 tournament earnings alone totaled over $7.5 million, with deep runs in some of the world’s toughest fields. He has also captured WSOP bracelets and secured titles at PokerGO Studio and on the Triton Poker Tour, proving his versatility across different formats.
While he remains committed to live poker, Lonis acknowledges that online events provide a convenient way to compete, especially as he prepares for a major life event. With his third daughter set to arrive soon, he plans to adjust his tournament schedule in 2025, though he hopes to return to action at Triton Jeju by the end of February. With his skill and dedication, more victories seem inevitable in the near future.
