The American poker pro added $1.8 million to his growing bank
Jeremy Ausmus continues to build on his impressive poker career, adding another major title to his list of accomplishments. The American pro took down a record-breaking Triton Poker event in Jeju, winning the $25,000 buy-in tournament and securing a massive $1,892,000 payday.
The event saw an unprecedented 391 entries, setting a new attendance record for the Triton series. This marks the second time in a week that a tournament in Jeju has surpassed previous participation numbers, highlighting the growing popularity of the high-stakes series.
Ausmus battled through a competitive field, eventually facing Zhou Quan in a heads-up showdown to claim the title. The final table also featured popular poker content creator Alexander “WolfgangPoker” Seibt, adding extra excitement to the event.
Ausmus has been on a dominant run, particularly in the high-roller circuit. In 2024, he topped the PokerGO Tour Leaderboard and won the PGT Championship, cementing his place among the best tournament players in the world. His recent success in Jeju suggests he may be shifting focus to the Triton series, another prestigious stop for elite poker professionals.
After his victory, Ausmus shared that making the trip overseas was a significant decision, but one he felt was necessary given the strength of the Jeju series. “It’s a lot for me to come overseas for a series, but I saw how big Jeju was last year and thought, ‘I’ve gotta go next time,'” he told reporters.
With this latest win, Ausmus adds another seven-figure cash to his career earnings and reinforces his reputation as a top-tier competitor in the high-stakes poker world.
