The latest victory puts him back on top of the WSOPC leaderboard
Ari Engel has once again taken the lead in the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) gold ring race, securing his 19th career title. His latest victory came just days after Maurice Hawkins had briefly tied the record by winning his 18th ring at the WSOPC Horseshoe Baltimore Main Event. Engel’s latest triumph puts him back on top as the all-time leader in WSOPC rings.
The Canadian poker pro’s record-breaking win came in a $500 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em event during the 2025 WSOP Circuit Online Super Circuit in Pennsylvania. The tournament attracted 86 entries, and Engel outlasted them all to claim the title along with a $10,141 payday. While the prize money may not be the largest of his career, the victory adds another significant milestone to his impressive legacy in the WSOPC.
Hawkins’ recent win in Baltimore had made headlines not just for tying the record but also due to a controversial ruling in which Divyam Satyarthi was mistakenly eliminated in third place. However, Engel wasted no time reclaiming his position at the top, proving once again why he is one of the most consistent and successful players in circuit history.
Beyond Engel and Hawkins, other notable players have also been making waves in recent WSOPC events. Joshua Reichard earned his 16th ring with a $400 H.O.R.S.E. victory at the Horseshoe Hammond stop, while Corey Paggeot secured his 11th ring in a $1,100 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em tournament at the same festival. With the competition heating up among WSOPC regulars, the leaderboard continues to shift, making each event a battle for poker history.
