The WSOP will hold several events at The Star Sydney in Australia next month
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) International Circuit is heading to Sydney, Australia, in November 2024, bringing an exciting lineup of poker events to The Star Sydney. From November 14 to 26, the venue will host a 12-ring-event series, with players from around the globe expected to compete for over A$6 million (US$4 million) in prize money.
One of the highlights of the festival will be the A$2,500 (US$1,700) Main Event, which kicks off on November 22. Another notable event is the two-day A$5,000 (US$3,400) No-Limit Hold ’em high-roller tournament starting on November 25. The schedule also includes multi-flight tournaments and a mystery bounty event, adding extra excitement for participants.
The series isn’t just about traditional No-Limit Hold’em, either. Poker fans will find three Pot-Limit Omaha tournaments, along with two events featuring action clocks to keep the game moving faster and avoid slow play. There will also be a “Survivor Bounty” tournament, adding variety to the mix for players of different preferences and skill levels.
For those looking to get in on the action but not ready for the higher buy-ins, daily non-ring events and satellites will be available throughout the festival. These offer opportunities to win seats into bigger events at a lower cost.
The Star Sydney has gained a strong reputation as a top destination for major poker events in Australia, and this upcoming WSOP International Circuit stop is expected to attract a large field of both local and international players. With a wide range of tournaments and substantial prize pools, the festival promises to deliver an exciting poker experience for everyone involved.
