The 13-day series includes a main event with a GTD $1 million pool
The Texas poker scene is about to get more exciting with the upcoming Fall Poker Open at Champions Club in Houston. Scheduled to run from October 16 to October 28, this tournament series promises a thrilling line-up of events, headlined by a $1 million guaranteed Main Event. This popular poker club, co-owned by 17-time World Series of Poker champion Phil Hellmuth, has made a name for itself with numerous major tournaments over the years, and this fall series is set to be another impressive addition.
A $400 buy-in Monster Stack tournament on October 16 kicks off the action, featuring a guaranteed $100,000 prize pool. The excitement continues the following day with a $450 Mystery Bounty event that offers at least $250,000 in the pot, including bounties. For those who enjoy Pot-Limit Omaha, there are two events to look forward to: a $300 turbo tournament on October 17 and a $400 non-turbo event on October 24, each with a $15,000 guaranteed prize pool.

The series also includes specialty tournaments like a $500 H.O.R.S.E. event on October 21 and a $250 Triple Draw on October 23, both offering guaranteed prize pools. The final weekend features events tailored for seniors and women, with buy-ins of $250 and $140, respectively.
The highlight of the series, however, is undoubtedly the $1,500 buy-in Main Event, which starts on October 23. With seven starting flights, this tournament is expected to attract a large field of players vying for a piece of the $1 million prize pool. Day 2 will begin on October 27, promising an exciting finish to the event.
Overall, the Fall Poker Open at Champions Club is set to pay out at least $1,485,000 in total prize money, but this figure is likely to rise given the popularity of poker in Texas.
