Nolan Bushnell, co-founder of Atari, has launched a new venture aimed at revolutionizing blockchain gaming. His company, Moxy, has teamed up with Skale Labs to develop a Web3 ecosystem designed to offer gasless transactions, a significant innovation in the blockchain gaming space.
The partnership will see Moxy migrate its Moxy Token (WMOXY) from the Ethereum network to the SKALE Protocol. This move is set to address one of the major hurdles in blockchain technology—gas fees.

Typically, transactions on the Ethereum blockchain require gas fees, which can be a barrier for users. Skale Labs, however, offers a solution by operating as a layer-2 Ethereum blockchain. While it still verifies transactions against the Ethereum ledger, it shifts the cost of gas fees from users to developers. Developers pay a subscription fee to host their decentralized applications (dApps) on the SKALE Network, making transactions gasless for end-users.
Bushnell, who has a storied history in the gaming industry, sees this collaboration as a breakthrough for Web3 gaming.
